Top  Previous  Next

As with any tutorial it is always recommended to read through the tutorial first, and then perform the steps of the tutorial.

In this tutorial, we will use the Search feature, and we will also add all contacts found that match that Search result into a new group

You may want to add search results to a group, so that you can easily export all contacts of that group or print all contacts of that group.

1.Open Addressinator! by double-clicking on the Addressinator! icon on your desktop if not already opened

2.Let's say we want to search for all contacts that are in the United States - so we enter the text United States into the Search field in the menu bar, and select your Enter key on your keyboard

3.Drop down the list of contacts - it will show a list of all contacts that have that Search word in it

4.Now we want to have all of those contacts be a member of a group United States Contacts

a.Select menu Group -> Add all current contacts to group

search6

b.Drop down the list of groups and we see that the group called United States Contacts is not listed

c.Instead of having to go out and create the group, we can do it by just typing in the new group name and selecting OK

5.As soon as you create the group, the contacts are now added and you are returned to viewing the <All Contacts> group

NOTE: If you do not want to make a group, and are just searching, once you are done with the search, click on the Clear Search menu option
