Importing Addressinator! v3 Data

Before proceeding:

1. You MUST apply your activation key code BEFORE importing. The evaluation trial of Addressinator! 4 is limited to 25 contacts, and you will experience an error therefore if you attempt to enter (import) more than a total of 25 contacts. Refer to the Answers web page at http://www.addressinator.com/answers.htm if you are interested in a 30 day full-featured no limitations keycode to unlock the trial Addressinator

2. It is highly recommended to create a backup before importing any new contacts in case there is an issue with importing  and you need to restore to before you imported. Refer to the Backup & Recovery section of this Help file for details.

3. If you are using the stand-alone single user version of Addressinator! 4, you MUST edit the Addressinator.exe.config file BEFORE proceeding by doing the following:

a. Open Windows Explorer and move to the Addressinator 4 program directory (default is C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\Addressinator)

b. Use NotePad to open the Addressinator.exe.config file

c. Edit this config file to point to the specific path of the Addressinator! 4 database.

d. Now on your desktop, delete the Addressinator! 4 shortcut icon (otherwise you will get an error if you try to run Addressinator! now from this existing shortcut)

e. Create a new shortcut to Addressinator! by right-clicking on the desktop, select New -> Shortcut, browse to the location of the Addressinator.exe executable file  (default is C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\Addressinator)

f. Now you can perform the steps below to import.

e. After importing, exit out of Addressinator! and edit the config file back to the way it was before by removing the path
